AIIMS Bhubaneswar Spreads Awareness on Menstrual Hygiene Day

Bhubaneswar, Odia Gossip Bureau: On the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day, AIIMS Bhubaneswar shared an important message about dignity, hygiene, and care for every girl and woman.

Prof. (Dr.) Sweta Singh from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology highlighted the importance of proper menstrual hygiene. She advised women and girls to change sanitary pads regularly to avoid infections and maintain good health.

Connecting the message with Odisha’s famous Raja festival, Dr. Singh said that Raja Parva represents respect for womanhood, menstruation, and fertility. She stressed the need to spread awareness, safety, and compassion regarding menstrual health in society.

This year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day theme, “Together for a Period Friendly India”, encourages people to break myths, end stigma, and create a healthier and more inclusive society for everyone.
